Matthew P. Foose is a 1978 graduate of UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from UC Hastings College of the Law in 1981 and was admitted to practice in California in the same year. In addition to being admitted to practice in the State courts of California, he is also admitted to practice before multiple Federal Courts.
With over 34 years of legal experience working for and on behalf of insurance carriers, self-administered entities and their insured’s, Matthew actively engaged in the practice of law as an aggressive litigator handling thousands of personal injury cases to successful resolution. His experience provides valuable insight to the handling of personal injury claims on behalf of plaintiffs. His experience includes thirty jury trials to conclusion with extensive additional experience in court trials and arbitrations with emphasis in the subject matter of personal injury claims. Cases he has handled include claims of dental malpractice, product defect, construction accidents and claims, negligent mall security, assault and battery, slip and fall along with auto vs. auto accident cases.
Matthew was formerly a partner of McDanel & Foose, a law firm specializing in the area of civil litigation on behalf of defendants. He has served as Judge Pro-Tempore of the Los Angeles Traffic Court.
Matthew presently enjoys motorcycling, skiing and fishing. Matthew has enjoyed competitive judo and taking silver medals as a senior competitor in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Pan American Tournament as well as medals in other tournaments.
