Girl Killed, 14 Injured In Chain Reaction Crash On 60 Freeway

August 14, 2014

A shocking collision occurred on the morning of August 14th involving 11 vehicles. A milk transporting tanker was unable to decelerate for immobile traffic while traveling westbound on the 60 Freeway.

The semi truck lost control, causing his vehicle to hurdle over the center divider and commence a chain reaction of collisions involving 10 other vehicles. Two automobiles and the tanker were in flames as a result of this devastating crash. Wreckage from the many vehicles, including two big rigs, spread the “length of two football fields”.

In addition to the destruction of 11 automobiles, over 100 gallons of gasoline and 6,500 gallons of milk were poured onto the freeway.

Authorities reported that four passenger were in critical condition and 10 sustained lesser injuries. 5 year old Maydeline Salas unfortunately succumbed to her injuries and passed away at Beverly Hospital.

Orozco Trucking owned the tanker which originated the sequence of auto accidents. Within the past two years, trucks belonging to Orozco Trucking have been engaged in three accidents.
