Resolution Reached in Treat Williams’ Tragic Accident Case

In the aftermath of the fatal crash involving actor Treat Williams, a resolution has been reached as the other driver, Ryan Koss, strikes a plea deal. At Makkabi Law Group, we understand the complexities of such cases and offer personal injury services to help victims involved in vehicle accidents.

Ryan Koss pleaded guilty to negligent driving with death resulting after colliding with Treat Williams last June. The plea deal entails a one-year deferred sentence, probation, and a one-year license revocation. Additionally, Koss will participate in a community restorative justice program for the misdemeanor charge.

Throughout the proceedings, Koss has shown accountability and cooperation, reaching out to Treat’s family immediately after the accident. During the hearing, he expressed remorse, stating, “I’m here to apologize and take responsibility for this tragic accident.”

While Treat’s family forgave Koss and opted not to press charges, they acknowledged the irreparable loss caused by the accident. Treat’s son, Gill, conveyed forgiveness, emphasizing the profound impact on their family.

Ultimately, the resolution marks a step towards closure for both parties involved. At Makkabi Law Group, we extend our support to victims and their families during challenging times like these.
