Driver could face DUI, manslaughter charges in deadly Corona crash

Around one in the morning on July 20th, Julio Reyes, a 34 year old driving a Lexus sedan, was believed to be under the influence when he collided with another vehicle in Corona. Going southbound on the I-15 at 95 mph, Reyes rear ended a Toyota.
Flames erupted from the Toyota when it was hit, which contained two female passengers. Both were determined dead when fire crews arrived.
Reyes was also transporting two passengers, one of which was taken to the hospital. Reyes was arrested on the suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He has been indicted on manslaughter and DUI charges and will be presented in court on September 18th.
